Grew up in New England after completing Mt. Holyoke College in 1986, moved to Kentucky and worked at The Price Institute for Surgical Research. Began dental school 1988.
Met Paducah native, Dr. Eric Shields, while working at Price Institute and they married in 1991 and now have two children, Parker and Allie.
While not working, enjoys cooking, traveling, hunting, and outdoor activities.
